Hi, I have been getting a problem with emails where the body text is all jibberish. After digging through the comments here, it seems to be a data encryption problem. Unfortunately, my support for this plugin has expired so I can't create a support ticket. I would like to ask if you will release a fix for this, and if yes, approximately how long will i need to wait? Thanks.

Author loopus

Hello, You simply need to disable the data encryption option in the global settings to avoid it.

hello, how do i manually update the plugin ? I have a WP issue and every plugin on one of my websites don-t see any updates :( (wp itself and the theme update fine automatically, but not the plugins) anyways, i-ve downloaded the latest wp-cost-estimation archive, and now i want to update my current plugin which is at version 9.6741 can i do it the old fashion way ? 1. rename the old folder via FTP 2. upload the new folder via FTP 3. activate the plugin inside WP 4. all the forms made it safely to the new version, and i can drink a beer :D if the forms are sql based, i guess it will happen just like when i updated this way another popular plugin "contact form 7". As soon as i deleted the old plugin files, the database regarding the forms got wiped, so i had to remake every contact form...

Author loopus

Hello, Yes, to manually apply an update, you must not rename the plugin folder, or Wordpress will automatically uninstall it . You simply need to replace the plugin files in the existing plugin folder by using ftp to apply the update. The form data are stored in the database, so they will still here. I recommend you to make an export of your form (button "Export the forms" from the forms list panel) to make a security backup of the forms data.

Customer trustexpert

ok so just overwrite the files, gotcha. i`ve safely done manual updates to other plugins the "rename old plugin folder" and "upload new folder" "activate inside WP" way :P i`m nervous because i`m doing this on the live version of the website. thank you so much, i don`t know why my main WP site doesnt see plugin updates anymore, it started 4 months ago... so i have to manually update plugins when i see new updates :(

Author loopus

Maybe a plugin (or the theme) uses this function in one of its php files : add_filter( 'auto_update_plugin', '__return_false' ); This function disables plugins updates, but not the theme ones .

Customer trustexpert

the theme updates fine (ET Divi), and the main WP files also... if its not too much to ask, how can i find that php code line ? just search all the php files ?

Author loopus

This function only disables the plugins updates, not the core & theme updates. Yes, a global search for "auto_update_plugin" in the plugins and theme folders is the good way to find if a file uses it . Please note that the purchase code must be filled in the "License" panel of the E&P plugin to activate its automatic updates .

Customer trustexpert

ok, i`ll give it a try, thanks much for the tip :) cheers

I installed WP Cost Estimation & Payment Forms Builder on a new Divi builder site and get the following warning: Warning: session_start(): Cannot send session cache limiter - headers already sent (output started at #####/wp-content/themes/Divi/includes/builder/frontend-builder/view.php:213) in #####/wp-content/plugins/WP_Estimation_Form/includes/lfb-core.php online 1119 I have disabled all plugins except WP Cost Estimation & Payment Forms Builder. I get this message when I edit a page in the backend editor. When I disable the plugin the warning is gone. I did not add the shortcode on any page.

Author loopus

Hello, There is only one final step, but you can activate the option "Use payment only if selected" on an item placed before the last step, it will show the payment in the final step only if this item is selected.

Hi, i got an issue since the very last update (9.683) I can't right in any text field and "previous button" / "paid button" are one over the other. Is it possible to get access to the older version? I didn't make a save before update and can't really wait too long.. Thank you

Customer Digi-Click

Ok, here on codecanyon I was still able to download the 9.681 version, and I can confirm that the 9683 have an issue on fields (can't wright in it)

Author loopus

Thank you for reporting. Please can you indicate me the form url ? It will allow me to check the used theme and plugins to find the cause of this conflict . Thank you !

Customer Digi-Click

Hi, sorry I miss the first reply. Here is the public URL of my form: https://www.alsacecontrecancer.com/je-fais-un-don/ but I rollback to 9.681, so I don't know if this can help? let me know

Author loopus

Thank you ! Has the cache generated by Autoptimize been refreshed after installing the update?

Customer Digi-Click

I tried quickly again with the new version: by refreshing/clear Autoptimize, it's still stuck, but if deactivate it, fields are working again! (“previous button” / “paid button” are still one over the other, but not a big deal for that)

Author loopus

Thank you, I am going to make tests and improve it .

Hi there. Tried to find information about SEO. I am thinking of using this in the fullscreen mode, not having to worry about page design etc. But how does that work regarding SEO? Does google pick up all the written content in the calculator and all the alt text in the images? Loving the plugin. One of the best I have used :)

Author loopus

Hello, Thank you very much ! Yes, all the content of the form, items and alt texts are present and referenceable in the page where is placed the form shortcode .

Hi Loopus, the slider intervals start at 1 only. I'd love to have 0,33 intervals. Do you think that's possible? Thanks!

Author loopus

Hello, Here is the code to paste in the "Custom JS" option of the form to do that : jQuery(window).on('load',function(){ jQuery('#estimation_popup [data-type="slider"]').slider('option','step',0.33); });

Customer giffel

Hi @Loopus. Thanks for reply! Just saw it now. The slider now moves in smaller increments, on the front end side though, the displayed numbers are still in 1 unit increments. Meaning I can move the slider 3 times per number, but the number stays the same. Is there an option to display the 0,33 intervals in the front end as well? Would be awesome - Thanks!

Author loopus

Hello, It should normally show the decimal number in the slider tooltip and in the summary. Please can you contact me from the support page and send me the url of the problematic form ? I will check it .

hi, how can i do to read a shortcode in only specific step?, i mean i put a shortcode that execute an action in second step, but just now is reading when the form start, i need read it in second step.

Author loopus

Hello, You simply need to use the "step" attribute in the form shortcode to force it to start to a specific step : [estimation_form form_id="1" step="2"] You can click the "shortcode" button in the backend and choose the wanted start step to easily generate the wanted shortcode .

Customer totalsiteservice

ok ,let me explain, i have in step 2 a "ITEM" type "SHORTCODE" (item list > add new item > shortcode) , this shortcode is a call to action with other plugin, the problem is that this shortcode is reading in first step, i need that this ITEM type SHORTCODE read only in the second step.

Author loopus

Hello, Ah ok. Yes, the shortcodes are loaded with the page content, it isn't possible to load them dynamically during the form, sorry . If you need a freelance to develop such specific customizations to your version of the plugin, I can recommend this one : https://wpdeft.com/ . He knows this plugin well and should be available for such custom work .

Feature request: a step by step debugger so that we can see where a certain error happens and what happens. Right now I have tried for hours to make a node work. The other two similar nodes works as expected, but not the last one. Ok, I AM a noob with this plugin, but still, a debugger would be nice.

Customer OptiBiz1

Another thing that I would appreciate highly is a control for all the countries globally. A price might vary with country. Maybe not for creating websites, but certain products/services such as what we deliver comes with different costs in different countries, hence the need to be able to set a multiplier per country. So if possible, a control for selecting country incl the worlds countries' flags.

Customer OptiBiz1

A third request would be to see in the control, the name of that control. Now I have to create a temporary control and do the calculation to find the name of a certain control. It should be visible from within the control.

Customer OptiBiz1

A fourth request: It would be a great feature to be able to set the names of the controls. It gets so hard to have more complex node structures where the nodes might have controls that are named [item-324_price] then there are loads of similarly named controls. It becomes so hard to understand the formulas.

Author loopus

Hello, Thank you for these suggestions ! I will study these possibilities .

After the user submits the form, I want to redirect them to a landing page and pass some variables to this page. These are the variables I need to pass [total_price] [project_content] I see an option on the "Last Step" tab to "Send values as GET variables", but how can I send the variables I listed above as GET variables?

Customer davidom2513

The variables are: total_price project_content

Author loopus

Hello, A simple solution is to create an hidden & preselected checkbox "Total price" in the last step, enable its option "Don't add price to total" and use its price calculation option to recover the total : [total] By doing that, the price of this hidden checkbox (the total of the form) will be sent as variable with the other items prices .

Hello Loopus, Is it possible on the last step, can I redirect users to a different page instead of filling up the last form?

Hello, You can define different conditional final redirections from the "Last step" settings tab of the form . The redirection is called once the form finished . You can also remove all items form the last step (the email field must be placed on another step) and enable the option "Automatically send the email" . I need a ruler where people can choose number of a certain merchandise from by dragging it to the left and right and where the volume is shown either on any of the side as numbers and/OR on the ruler itself. Then based on this volume, I will need to create the pricing packages. Is this possible? (Awesome work with the plugin. I am totally blown away by how potent it is! Great job!)

Customer OptiBiz1

Ouch. I found it. I would like it to be bigger though. Is that possible?

Author loopus

Hello, Here are the rules to paste in the "Custom CSS rules" option of the form (Design tab) to increase the sliders size : #estimation_popup.wpe_bootstraped .ui-slider-handle { height: 32px; width: 32px; top: -8px !important; } #estimation_popup.wpe_bootstraped .ui-slider { height: 18px; }

Customer OptiBiz1

How do I do to let the ruler cover say 45% of the full width of the page? It was not as easy as just increasing the width. I have a ruler going from 0 to 5 million so I need better "resolution" on the ruler

Author loopus

You can do that by setting the slider option "Use column or row ?" to "Row", and pasting this rule in the "Custom CSS rules" option of the form : #estimation_popup [data-type="slider"] { width: 45% !important; }

Customer OptiBiz1

Sorry for asking again, but I get totally screwed up values with this: 1) Something costs 0.0025 per unit, add to that the markup of 150% (2.5 incl the price itself) * the number of units given by the slider. (0.0025 * 2.5 ) * ([item-271_quantity]) 2) How do I get rid of the decimals?

Author loopus

1. Please can you send me the url of the form ? I will check it . 2. The decimals are automatically hidden in the prices of the form if they are equal to 0. You can also enable the option "Hide decimals" in the "Summary" settings tab to hide the decimals in the final summary .

Customer OptiBiz1

Sent via the email form here

Customer OptiBiz1

I didn't get it right with the 45% ruler size :( The hide decimals seem to apply to the total cost only. Not to the ruler.

Author loopus

You can round the result of a custom calculation by using the Math.round() function : Math.round(100/3) I replied to your email .

Hi, You probably should build a page with the all parameters that can be used + examples in. It's hard to figure out how the custom calculations work.. What i'm trying to achieve is a button that calculates from the pasts the amount of selected products (total quantity), then adds 4 EUR to to the sum for every product. I'm totally lost with the if, then, elses..

Hello, There are already several demo forms that use custom calculations installed by default, but I note the suggestion, thank you ! To do that, you can create an hidden and preselected checkbox in the last step of the form that applies this simple calculation : ([total_quantity]-1) *4 We remove 1 of the total quantity to remove the quantity added by the hidden checkbox from where is applied the calculation, and multiply it by the wanted cost . Hey a question. On first step customer has to select between 3 sizes. Then they have to select between different quantities with slider. Product A, B, C all have different quantities so the slider jumps should be like for A, from 40 to 80 etc. For B from 56 to 112 etc and for C from 16 to 32 etc. How can i create different slider jumps for products? Tried to seek answer from here but couldn't find it.

Author loopus

Hello, You need to create 3 different sliders, and use their option "Show depending on conditions" to show the good one depending on the selected product . Is it ok ?

Customer retapjukka

I get that, but i'm lost with the code part :) What should i add to the if-then-else code field?

Author loopus

You need to fill the wanted visibility condition for each one. Example: if the "item A" is selected , so this slider will be displayed only if the item A is selected .

Customer retapjukka

Where do i define the slider jumps?

Author loopus

It is the option "Slider interval" from the slider item panel .

Customer retapjukka

Hmm, dont have "slider interval" written anywhere :O Where should it be?

This option is displayed in the left column of the item panel when you edit a slider item. Is it ok ?

Hi, Can we make custom calculations between steps? We're a metalwork company and we're trying to build a quotation form. Do we use Custom JS section under Steps Manager > General settings? If so, how do we know the item ids to use in formulas? Thanks

Hello, it is possible that 2 text fields are validated, for example that they put the mail 2 times to ensure that they have written it correctly. Thank you.

Author loopus

Hello, To do that, you need to create the two email textfields, set them as "required" and use this js code in the "Custom JS" option of the form (by replacing the textfields titles by the real ones) : var emailField1_title = "My email field 1"; var emailField2_title = "My email field 2"; jQuery(document).ready(function(){ jQuery('[data-fieldtype="email"]').on('change',function(){ if(jQuery('[data-title="'+emailField2_title +'"]').val() != jQuery('[data-title="'+emailField1_title +'"]').val()){ jQuery('[data-title="'+emailField2_title +'"]').val('').closest('.form-group').addClass('has-error'); }else { jQuery('[data-title="'+emailField1_title +'"]').closest('.form-group').removeClass('has-error'); } }); });

Hi, I;d like to ask for instructions on how to set up the form to register as an event/conversion on google analytics? I've already embedded the short code to start tracking correctly, just need the event to be recorded. Also, once the form is completed, it takes them to your home page https://www.wordpress-estimation-payment-forms.com/ away from our website, is it possible to redirect them back to our homepage, how do i edit the destination URL upon form completion? Thank you

Customer mdshak77

Hello, 1- Just go through the Form settings > Last Step Tab > Open a page at end > Here you can put the website URL. 2- Just go through the Form settings > General Tab > Google Analytics ID > Put the Google Analytics ID to track the form.

Love the plugin. Is there any way to send the Zapier values earlier than the last step? I haven't looked at the code yet, but pointing me in the right direction would be a huge help. Basically I want to send values to Zapier after the first step (where all the fields are in my form) rather than waiting till the last. Thanks!

Hi, I've just purchased this plug-in and am very happy :) I'd like to change default square-shaped checkbox to a big circle-shaped checkbox. How can I achieve this? (I've already tried 'Form Designer' but failed to change it.)

Author loopus

Hello, Thank you :) Here is the rules to paste in the "Custom CSS rules" option of the form to do that : #estimation_popup.wpe_bootstraped .checkboxCt label::before { border-radius: 50% !important; width: 28px; height: 28px; left: -10px; } #estimation_popup.wpe_bootstraped .checkboxCt label::after { width: 28px; height: 28px; left: 0; top: 10px; margin-left: -32px; }

Customer goselly

Thanks for your quick response. I'd like to make the check box as below: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1JXuI4mi-3yKcSfew3aecbD-a8NNqNYC_/view?usp=sharing Could you let me know how to do it? Many thanks in advance :)

Author loopus

There is no specific option to do that currently, sorry. But the sent css rule can be modified to approach this style, by modifying the values width, height and background color . Example : #estimation_popup.wpe_bootstraped .checkboxCt label::before { border-radius: 50% !important; width: 38px; height: 38px; position: absolute; left: 50%; top: -38px; } #estimation_popup.wpe_bootstraped[data-form] .itemBloc .checkboxCt-primary input[type="checkbox"]:not(:checked) + label::before { background-color: #bdc3c7 !important; border-color: #bdc3c7 !important; } #estimation_popup.wpe_bootstraped[data-form] .itemBloc .checkboxCt-primary input[type="checkbox"]:checked + label::before { background-color: #f1c40f !important; border-color: #f1c40f !important; } #estimation_popup.wpe_bootstraped .checkboxCt label::after { width: 38px; height: 38px; font-size: 20px; left: 50%; top: -44px; margin-left: -20px; font-size: 20px; } #estimation_popup.wpe_bootstraped .checkboxCt input[type="checkbox"]:not(:checked)+label::after { content: "\f00c"; font-family: 'Font Awesome 5 Free'!important; font-weight: 900!important; text-rendering: optimizeLegibility; opacity: 0.5; }

Customer goselly

Wow I really appreciate! Loving this plug-in!

GREAT plugin. Highly recommended! A couple of questions: 1. How can I output whether or not a checkbox was selected (for example: an option with no price) - I've tried [item-###_value] and [item-###_state]? 2. Can you clarify the expected outcome of the "open a page at end" and "condition on redirection" of the Last Step? I was expecting to send the user to an appropriate external page, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Is it for webhook, or something that I'm missing, or something is stopping the expected behavior? Thanks!

Author loopus

Hello, Thank you very much for the review ! 1. In a custom calculation, you can use the shortcode [item-##_isChecked] . There is no such shortcode for rich text items content or email content, but you can use [item-###_title], it will returns a value only if the item was selected . 2. These options define the final redirection, once the order was sent. You can define different final redirections and set the conditions for each one. The plugin will verify them and will execute the redirection that has its conditions filled.

Customer jaoltr

Thanks! Is there a list of shortcodes that are available?

Author loopus

You simply need to click the button "Get the value of a field" to visually select the target element and attribute, it will generate the corresponding shortcode in the rich text content .

Hi, I have a 'restrict to country' on my 2 address Google Autocomplete address field which works fine: jQuery(document).ready(function(){ jQuery('#estimation_popup').find('[data-autocomplete="1"]').each(function(){ var options = {componentRestrictions: {country: 'ZA'}}; new google.maps.places.Autocomplete(jQuery(this).get(0), options); }); }); But I would like to find out if it's possible to change this to use the below bias towards geo location: https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/examples/places-autocomplete-addressform // Bias the autocomplete object to the user's geographical location, // as supplied by the browser's 'navigator.geolocation' object. function geolocate() { if (navigator.geolocation) { navigator.geolocation.getCurrentPosition(function(position) { var geolocation = { lat: position.coords.latitude, lng: position.coords.longitude }; var circle = new google.maps.Circle( {center: geolocation, radius: position.coords.accuracy}); autocomplete.setBounds(circle.getBounds()); }); } } Im just not sure how to apply this within the form builder. Thanks, will appreciate any assistance on this.

Customer rmgibbons01

jQuery(document).ready(function(){ jQuery('#estimation_popup').find('[data-autocomplete="1"]').each(function(){ if (navigator.geolocation) { navigator.geolocation.getCurrentPosition(function(position) { var geolocation = { lat: position.coords.latitude, lng: position.coords.longitude }; var circle = new google.maps.Circle( {center: geolocation, radius: position.coords.accuracy}); autocomplete.setBounds(circle.getBounds()); new google.maps.places.Autocomplete(jQuery(this).get(0), circle); }); } }); }); //This doesn't work, but my closest guess so far

Author loopus

Hello, Sorry, there is no option to do that currently. If you need a freelance to develop such customizations to your version, I can recommend this one : https://wpdeft.com/ . He knows this plugin well and should be available for such custom work .

Customer rmgibbons01

Hi Loopus, Would really like to try and get this working without having to go through the process of outsourcing. So this is the function as supplied by Google is: // Bias the autocomplete object to the user's geographical location, // as supplied by the browser's 'navigator.geolocation' object. function geolocate() { if (navigator.geolocation) { navigator.geolocation.getCurrentPosition(function(position) { var geolocation = { lat: position.coords.latitude, lng: position.coords.longitude }; var circle = new google.maps.Circle( {center: geolocation, radius: position.coords.accuracy}); autocomplete.setBounds(circle.getBounds()); }); } } If I put this in the functions.php between script tags or save it as a JavaScript snippet using the plugin 'Snippets' Then I think all I need to do is call the function using: onFocus="geolocate()" for the input. The inputs are data-itemid="8" & data-itemid="9" 1. How would I call onFocus="geolocate()" function for those inputs or just one using jQuery? 2. Is it even possible to call a function in that is saved in the functions.php within the form builder? Thanks and regards,

Customer rmgibbons01

Have tested the function on a normal WordPress page with a form & the geolocate function which I have saved in the Snippets plugin as javascript is working perfectly. So I think the only thing I need to get it working in E&P form is to apply geolocate() to the address input. Just need help with the syntax which im trying to work out, something like this...? jQuery(document).ready(function() { jQuery('[data-autocomplete="1"]').onFocus, this, function() { geolocate(); }; geolocate(); });

I would like to have a multiple choice question that starts with 20 items, asks a user to select 10. Then the next question shows the 10 that were selected and asks the user to select 5. Then the next question shows the 5 that were selected and asks the user to rank them. Then I need the items sorted on the summary page by rank. I used the show fields based on previous answers to do the narrow down part...and I then created a kind of user rank using the select field - but I don't see a way to limit the selection of rank items to i use each and I don't see a way to sort the items on the summary page. Is this possible in the current version?

Hello, Yes, it is possible to do that by duplicating the items and by using their option "Show depending on conditions" to show the good ones based on the selection done in the previous step . Hi and congrats! My q plz: 1. Editing form entries by admin (in partial or after submission) - Can the admin change anything in the entries? (contact info, prices, number of items, recalculte new totals, notify customer?) 2. Editing form entries by user - What can they edit? 3. Can we assign the whole form to a woo product (not items separately), so after confirmation, customer will add the total form "product" and total cost to the cart, checkout & pay using woo payments/shipping etc 4. Can the admin change the form from "enquiry" to "pay" status (in the final step) so the user can actually pay using woocommerce? 5. Online documentation? (check before buy) 6. Admin demo access? (check before buy) Thx, Tasos

Dear Loopus Could you help me create one logic: User Select field called "Program" Programs like: 1 week | price 2 weeks | price .. 1 month | price .. then user choose arrival date with datepicker. I would like to use only one datepicker and calculate second datepicker called as "departure day" on backend. How can I do that?

Author loopus

Hello, Here is a way to do that : Create the select field "Program", enable its option "Don't add price to total" and define its options by using the number of days as price (ex: "1 week" : 7 days, "2 weeks": 14 days, "1 month" : 30 days) Create the datepicker "Arrival" and an hidden datepicker "Departure day" Paste this code in the "Custom JS" option of the form : jQuery(document).ready(function(){ jQuery('[data-title="Arrival"]').on('change',checkDates); jQuery('[data-title="Program"]').on('change',checkDates); }); function checkDates(){ var nbDays = jQuery('[data-title="Program"] option:selected').attr('data-price'); var startDate = moment(jQuery('[data-title="Arrival"]').datetimepicker('getDate')); var endDate = startDate.subtract(nbDays,'days'); jQuery('[data-title="Departure day"]').datetimepicker('setDate',endDate.toDate()); }

Customer arikus

Thank you for your quick responce. Your example replaces the total cost with the number of days, but the total cost is also used. How to do the same but save the cost of the program? Still can manually create condition for each value + 15 days, + 30 days etc. If "program" is (2 weeks), then (departure date) is (arrival date) + 14

Author loopus

You need to enable the option "Don’t add price to total" on the dropdown item to not add its price to the total amount .

Customer arikus

Correctly I understand that at the same time it is impossible to calculate the total and date of departure for this kind of logic: User choose: Arrival date: 1 of September Program: 1 week Summary output&invoice&email: 1 week program booking from 1 September to 8 September total of $100

Author loopus

A solution can be to create an hidden & preselected checkbox that applies the price by using custom calculation that defines the cost depending on the selected option on the dropdown . Ex: if ([item-X_value] == '1 week'){ 100 } if ([item-X_value] == '2 weeks'){ 200 } if ([item-X_value] == '1 month'){ 400 } Where item-X is the target dropdown .
