Your privacy choices

Google Analytics 4 measures site visits and Google Ads measures advertising clicks and checkout completions, only for the purposes you accept. Neither is required to buy. Necessary checkout services remain available.

These optional Google services may set audience or advertising cookies after your acceptance. Analytics and advertising are separate choices. Acceptance and refusal are remembered in this browser for a fixed 180 days, without extending the period when read. You can withdraw or change your choices at any time using Privacy choices in the footer. Withdrawal removes optional first-party Google cookies and reloads the page if Google has already loaded (using session storage in this tab if persistent storage refuses the withdrawal; a blank page opens only if both stores cannot safely record the withdrawal and a stale approval remains). Checkout, external demos, videos, support and newsletter services have their own privacy information.

Build your form

Show fields and steps with conditional logic

Use field visibility, step visibility and conditional links to build branching quote forms, with a test matrix for every route.

Where to find it

Component/step visibility settings, or a link in Steps manager

Before you start

Create the controlling choices first. A visibility condition decides whether something is shown; a link condition decides which step comes next. A price condition changes an amount, not the navigation.

Visibility options for required, hidden and conditional componentsOpen full-size screenshot
Is hidden? and Show it depending on conditions have different effects. Screenshots use the English plugin interface; translated labels can differ.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Open the relevant visibility or link condition editor. Select the existing component, the comparison and the expected value using the provided selectors.

  2. Choose whether all conditions must match (AND) or at least one must match (OR). For example, show installation details only when “Installation” is selected.

  3. For branches, define a clear route for each choice and a route for visitors who do not choose the optional service. Avoid two outgoing links that are true for the same answer.

  4. Save and test both true and false cases. Go back and change the controlling answer; check the displayed fields, selected options, price and final summary again.

Hidden is different from conditional visibility

The component Visibility tab separates Is hidden? from Show it depending on conditions. Is hidden? keeps the item available to the calculation while hiding it from the visitor. Use conditional visibility for a question that should appear only for certain answers, and test the effect on the total after changing those answers.

Check the result

Make a small table of answers and expected next steps before testing. Each branch must reach the final step, and hidden optional items must not leave an unexpected charge in the summary.

If it does not work

After deleting or replacing a field, revisit rules that referenced it. Check AND/OR and numeric versus text comparisons. Simplify to one rule while diagnosing a blocked path.
